A quote from Series 1 episode 1, 'The End'. I’m *not* the lowest rank on this ship. What about the laboratory mice? I tell them to do something and they jump straight to it. “Yes, Mr Lister Sir, eek, eek, eek.”

Dave Lister is the only surviving human in space on the mining ship Red Dwarf. The rest of the crew were killed by a radiation leak. Lister was a third-class technician (the lowest ranking crewman) on Red Dwarf, spending his time performing tasks under the hated supervision of Arnold Rimmer. He becomes marooned three million years into the future, but maintains a long-standing desire to return to Earth and start a farm and/or diner on Fiji, preferably with the one true love of his life, Kristine Kochanski, a navigation officer on Red Dwarf. As a character Lister is lazy, slobbish and unmotivated, but he frequently shows moral courage. He deeply enjoys Indian food, especially chicken vindaloo, which is a recurring theme in the episodes.

Finding This Series

This cache is a clip-lock box in a camo bag with a pencil. It should be a relatively easy find to begin the series. Don’t forget to look for the bonus information! The onward route is in the description of cache #2 Arnold Rimmer.

Starting from either parking waypoint, it is necessary to walk for a short distance on a busy road so please take care with children and animals at all times.

Walking the whole series is best done in numerical order. The route is almost circular but from cache #7 it will be necessary to back-track past #6 to reach #8, after which the route is straightforward again. Some parts of the series are on good road surfaces, but the majority of the walk is over fields used by livestock and so the paths can get muddy and very waterlogged. Wear appropriate footwear and follow the Countryside Code, keeping dogs on a lead at all times.

The complete circuit is 4km long and should take about 1¾ hours. We welcome logs highlighting any issues or any suggestions you have to improve the cache or the series. Good luck everyone!
