I've been to this place a few times and have had a picture my father took years ago hung up on the wall of almost all the apartments I lived in. Kevin hadn't been here so we finally decided to take a day trip. When we saw there wasn't a cache here we just knew we would have to place one. The cache container is a medium size cammoed snap-lock container with usual note book, pencil and trinkets. It also contains a FTF prize of an unactivated Atlantic BattleCache tag/coin. There are a couple picnic tables in the area, if coming down from the picnic area stairs will need to be taken but a drive around will find a main entrance where parking is also available and no stair required. Congrats to Gulliver's Travels on FTF
Short History of the nearby Landmark:
In 1964 a local heritage organization took over the derelict mill and began restoration with Archie employed as miller. In 1966 when the burden was becoming too much for the local group, the Nova Scotia Government stepped in to save this important landmark. Archie MacDonald stayed on and John Taylor apprenticed under him. John in turn taught Mark Burris. Mark left to pursue other opportunities but rejoined us in the summer of 2007. Since then he has been at work on a variety of restoration and maintenance tasks at the mill.
