Glenn Hall, born in Humbolt Saskatchewan on October 3rd, 1931,, was without a doubt, one of the best goalies ever to play the game. He was nicknamed "Mr. Goalie" and was one of the most durbale and consistant goalies to ever play, as in his first season "1955-56" in the NHL, he played in every single game, had 12 shutouts and won the Calder Memorial Trophy as well. Hall was also know for getting sick before each and every game he played! Yes, he would get sick, sometimes even throwing up, and the sicker he got, the better he played! It was known as "Glenn Hall Syndrome" He was even know to report late to training camp and his excuse was that he was painting the barn, but rumours were that he didn't like having pucks shot at his head. Maybe part of getting sick before the games he played!
He was a 3 time Vezina Trophy winner and a Stanley Cup winner as well. He played in 11 all-star games and was listed as player #16 in the top 100 players of all time according to The Hockey News top in 1998. He had 407 wins, 84 shutouts and a career GAA of 2.49
He was inducted into the HHOF in 1975.
