28/12/19 - This series of caches, and another in Eccinswell, were adopted by WJV. There is a different cache in place now, a well crafted micro.
Newtown Runaround is a circular walk of seven (now six)caches most of which have a high difficulty rating for a challenge! The walk is just over 2 miles and should take about 45mins (excluding searching time). The terrain is fairly easy except it can get rather wet and boggy in a few places. All the caches are of varying sizes and all but two contain swapables. You may need patience and plenty of time searching for these caches. We have tried not to give too many clues and the hints are purposely vague. Parking is easy with a car park at Jonathan Hill which is set as a waypoint for Newtown Runaround 1. The trail is on public footpaths or bridleways you should only have to cross a road a few times. After cache 3 there are two kissing gates to negotiate. If you are really struggling to find caches please contact us and we will try to help. Hope you enjoy the walk and happy hunting!
