Train Crash Traditional Cache

This cache is located near the memorial stone for the people who were killed during the train crash which occurred here on October 10 1992.

The train was coming from a Picnic Outing at Karnmelkspruit station when it derailed on this bend, resulting in the deaths of the driver and five passengers.

NOTE.   This memorial is located on private land with permission from the land-owner. Please be respectful of the animals and property. There is a gap that has been put in the fence to go through at the 11.4 km mark for public use.

The memorial is visible from the road.
