This cache is located in a new development called Potomac Shores. A great golf course has opened with the assistance of a notable professional golfer who had a hand in its creation. Not too many places have a view like the one from this vantage point. Excellent view of the Potomac River from atop the bluff. You may also see eagles and hawks in the sky above if they’re on the hunt. Binoculars are a must to take advantage of the sights that span the distance left and right, ahead, and above. A restaurant is slated to be built here in the future and land construction has begun. The cache should still be available but time will tell.
Be wary of potential snakes and other insects as you head to the cache. Don’t wear your Sunday best.
And don’t forget to check out the Bald Eagles way off to the left from the vantage point of the structure. There is an island of trees there and if you look closely, as least in the fall and winter, and you’ll see the large nest. Bring binoculars or some sort of viewing device and you may see the two eagles nesting there or they may be flying around.
