Geocache Description:

*** THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE LISTED COORDINATES ***

The Puzzle

Below are six very famous classic dishes from around the world. I will give you the country of origin, the traditional ingredient list, and a key word to help you. After that, there is a question about the answer to provide you with numbers to plug into the formula below. Use the 'A=1 / Z=26' method to gain your numbers.

1) This dish is from Spain. Although the proteins can vary, they can usually be divided into either land-based, sea-food, or mixed. With the protein there are vegetables, beans, garlic, paprika, saffron and rice. This is all cooked together in a pan.

A = The second letter + the sixth letter.

2) A classic of France, this braised chicken dish includes bacon, mushrooms, garlic and, most importantly, red wine.

B = The sixth letter - 22.

3) Italy produced this staple dish. Though spaghetti as the pasta is common, it can be used with just about any pasta. The main ingredients are cheese, bacon, black pepper, and a raw egg.

C = The fourth letter + the seventh letter + the ninth letter.

4) This dish hails from Austria and is a traditional Germanic dish consisting of veal, flour, eggs, and bread crumbs. For serving, do not forget the lemon slice.

D = The eighth letter.

5) Though it may seem more exotic, this dish was created in the United States. It's star ingredients are cucumber, crab, avocado, and rice. Sometimes great food is inside-out.

E = The fifth letter - 1.

6) This dish can be found almost anywhere in India. It is the spices that cover the chicken that give it the unusual hue. More importantly, it is the oven in which it is cooked that makes this dish so delicious.

E = The eighth letter - 2.
