Geocaching is a family activity that can be a lot of fun. We love silly hides and this is an example. We retired our first cachemobile at 280,000 miles and it looked a bit like this. You will need to walk a little bit from the safe parking area, but there is room to turn around to reenter the busy street.
Geocaching 101 advice: It is very difficult to get good coordinates under tree cover so we stay at a cache hide for at least ten minutes to let the GPS settle down. If the coordinates are not perfect, a cacher can use “geosense” to find the cache. A big clue can be to look for camouflage. This can be carefully placed sticks, rocks or Spanish Moss.
This cache is large, but because the log container is a micro, the cache is listed as a micro.
