Old Bullets Traditional Cache

Bisley Valley Nature Reserve early in the last century the area was used for shooting.There is a variety of birds, giraffe, impala zebra. There is no entrance fee payable and picnic site with braai facilities is available. Toilets are there as well but were locked when inspected. Access is off Gladys Manzi (Murray) Road. The security gate to the stables is often closed but not locked and can be pushed open. Here at parking the hinge gate is always locked but there is foot access.

You will have to park (PK) and walk, head to Waypoint 1, the resource centre. Find the NM bird trail below the small dam, path will pass close to the cache. This offers you a chance to walk in through some typical midlands thornveldt. The cache offers a view of the old Bisley range structures and a panorama of the town. It is roughly 1,5km roundtrip. Take good shoes, water and depending on the season, a hat. Watch out for giraffe, they have lost their fear of humans, keep your distance.
