Geocache Description:

The Williamson Valley Road Series is a Friends of Morgan Ranch Nature Park history project. Even numbered caches are on the E side of the Rd & odd on the W for 44 mi. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU WORK 1 SIDE OF THE ROAD AT A TIME. Please pick up trash so the neighborhood trash-pickers are not drawn to the location. Be Prepared- No Services, No Cell.

THE KIECKHEFER FAMILY In 1941, the John W. Kieckhefer (1887–1970) family, of Wisconsin, bought two-thirds of the KM Ranch, east of the K4 Headquarters and the K4 Headquarters Ranch, where they have ranched for four generations. The Kieckhefers’ holdings between Walnut Creek and Williamson Valley became known as the K4 Ranch. Kieckhefer was president of the Kieckhefer Container Company, which pioneered the use of fiber shipping containers. When the company merged with the Weyerhaeuser Company in 1957, Kieckhefer became one of America’s wealthiest men. His son Robert (1917–2001) patented a number of inventions, including the milk carton. He served community and state organizations and was a founding member of the Yavapai County Fair Association and president of the American Quarter Horse Association.
