Geocache Description:

This is the first cache in a series of 6 caches set by Y5/6 2014 at Egton School.  We have developed the trail as part of our Archie Bishop Leadership Awards Programme.

We hope that you enjoy finding them.

The Memorial Cross

This cross is in honour of John Foster.  John Foster was born in 1832  in Queensbury and died in 1910.  He owned Egton Estate and built Egton Church, but the best bit is he built our school, Yey!  His remains are  in the vault at St Hilda's Church, Egton.
