Castle Peak Beach is one of the five beaches located at the Castle Peak Road. Immediate west next to the beach there is the Tuen Mun Typhoon Shelter and the Tuen Mun River Channel. There are several housing estates, including Sam Shing Estate, which is quite famous for its seafood, at the hinterland of the Castle Peak beach. The sea condition is usually calm at the beach.
The annual ranking of this beach has been maintained as “Fair” since 1999. It was closed to swimmers for over 20 years and has been re-opened since 2005. In a bathing season, it now usually achieves a weekly rating of Grade 2, while sometimes it improves to Grade 1.
The cache is located at a little park next to the beach. Please beware of muggles and have fun :).
