Small cache on west side of lovely free native plant garden next to the Eastern Sierra Museum in Independence. Please visit the free museum as well - picnic tables, water and restrooms too.
I placed a cache near here a few times but it disappeared. It's such a delightful spot, though, that I'm trying again, but in a different spot. Park on Grant St and take a rock-lined trail a few hundred feet to a spot at the fenceline. Watch where you put your hands and feet. Hiking shoes recommended as you will be climbing over small cobbles. You can take a trail to within 10' of the cache. Please re-hide completely - under a small bush.
