It has a loud and racquous call this is like no other. They are very different from any other bird and are easy to identify if you ever hear or see them. If you are so inclined, ask me to demonstrate my chachalaca call for you!
This is hidden to the right of the historical marker and it makes for some interesting reading. No need to cross any wire or gates to access this cache. As always, refinement to the posted coords are welcome. Please rehid as found. For another interesting historical marker, look for the Military Marker about one mile south of this one. It is located near an entrance to Camp Swift and is quite enlightening.
