Little Smeaton Bridge:
The bridge, known as ‘The Old Bridge’ was built in the 18th century and is Grade II listed. It’s about 400 metres (¼ of a mile) long and it used to form part of the A167 (the old Boroughbridge to Darlington road). According to the Great Smeaton website, much work has been done to clear the bridge of rubbish caused by people fly tipping.
Cache details:
This cache is a small plastic box big enough for a few swaps, please bring your own pen. There’s a burger van parked here during the week so chose your moment wisely. Please replace as found and upload some nice pictures of the bridge if you can, and mind the resident snail family if they are still there.
