Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Cabell County GeoTrail, sponsored by the Cabell Huntington Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB)

This trail is comprised of 15 caches of which you have to find 12; Three of these caches are mandatory. There are BONUS caches.

Each site has a code word that you have to fill in on the geocaching rack card available for the Trail. Rack cards can be picked up at the Visitors Center downtown.

Once these cards are turned in to the CVB and verified, you will be asked to fill out a very short information card and you will receive a custom made trackable geocoin. The contact information for the Cabell Huntington CVB is:

Address: 210 11th St, Huntington, WV 25701
Phone:(304) 525-7333 M-F 9 to 5 and Saturday 10-5. If you need to pickup a coin on Sunday, email cachencabell@gmail.com.

This is a BONUS cache for the Cabell County Geotrail and NOT required to complete the geotrail to earn a coin.

Barboursville Park spans over 750 acres in Cabell County, WV. There are soccer fields, baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, youth football fields, fishing lake and several ponds, picnic areas, an amphitheatre, walking trails, biking trails, nature trails with abundant wildlife, a horse show ring, and archery range, and over 40 geocaches. Several have accumulated many favorite points.

You can find most any type cache and D/T here BUT this is the park's first Wherigo. It is quite quick and takes you on a brief tour of some of the park. While here, please take time out to enjoy the great features here in the park and grab some more fun caches that will be close to these zones.

Download the cartridge from the link below or the related webpage and go to the posted coordinates. Be sure to read the wherigo cartridge and follow instructions. Take a pen and paper to write down your information that you will be given. You will have to visit 5 locations (although they are not far apart) to answer simple questions. Once you correctly answer them, each once will give you a small piece of the geocache location. If you incorrectly answer a question, simply step out of the zone and re-enter. NOTE: There is no unlock code for this Wherigo at the end, just a final container to visit.

You can download the cartridge from the Wherigo website:

Special thanks to Clive and Juliana for creating this Wherigo.
