Geocache Description:

This geocache is located on the abandoned rail line near the French Basin Trail in Annapolis Royal as part the "Take the roof off Winter" geocaching/snowshoeing event. Please park the given coordinates since there is no real parking during the winter.

The French Basin Trail is a recreational walking trail that forms a 1.2 km loop around a constructed wetland on the edge of the French Basin. This small basin at the back of the town has been called the French Basin since the English capture of Port Royal in 1710.
