Storm of the Century Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

STORMCATCHERS: With the shear number of other caches now along the trail we have decided to give this one some much needed retirement.
Our first cache Archive, sad, but life goes on : )

Thanks for all the logs and memories.

Geocache Description:

This is not the first and probably won't be the last cache to be placed along the Canberra Centenary trail…A nice quick "pit stop" type cache along the trail to satisfy that cache craving. We have walked this section of the trail a few times now on caching adventures so we thought it might be nice to place one ourselves. There are some great views of Canberra to be had all along the trail and this section of the trail has some great spots to just sit and take it all in (day or night) .

This section of the trail is fairly easy to walk or ride (yes, mountain bikes are allowed), but make sure you allow for one or two hours (return) on foot and bring plenty of water especially if it is a hot day. The cache is on Section 2 of the Centenary trail and more information can be found at... http://www.tams.act.gov.au/parks-recreation/recreational_activities/centenary-trail/section-maps/section-2-watson-to-northern-border-campsite As mentioned there is no access into Gungahlin once you are on the trail due to the surrounding private farm land. Continue along the trail for even better views !!!
