It's been a year since we first started caching. In that year, at least 50 caches were published in Fort Erie, making it a great hotspot for cachers. However, for a while now, something has been bugging me ('66). All the Fort Erie caches weren't published in a day, so the question loomed: What (or Where) is the first cache of Fort Erie? When I mean Fort Erie, I mean the map in the background .
After about 2 weeks of searching, I had struck gold: the location of the First Cache of Fort Erie. Though I was eager to tell, I held my tongue for fear that someone would steal the spot.
My cache is located at "the spot". In order to find "the spot", I would suggest going through some old archived caches to find the original cache page. There was several caches back then, so to make it easier, here are some hints:
1. The cache was published on 10/02/2002
2. The cache had a total of 38 finds before it was archived
3.The cache has something to do with Sault Ste. Marie
4. No Dogs are allowed
