There are more than 1,200 miles of irrigation canals and 17 reservoirs on the Flathead Reservation. The canals provide water delivery to approximately 127,000 acres. The Flathead Irrigation and Power Project on the Flathead Reservation began about 1907.
This is a small camouflaged cache container about 4"x3", containing a log book, small pencil and room for small trade items. There is no need to go near the water during summer months, please watch children and pets when the water is running.
This cache is accessed from Skyline Drive just south of Polson. You can park at the junction of Pablo Feeder Canal and Skyline Drive or drive the quarter of a mile east to the cache. The road is rough and muddy at times so 4WD of high clearance might be advisable.
Cache seekers should have in their possession, a Flathead Reservation Conservation Permit.
