Geocache Description:

This Fill the Grid with a Twist Challenge is based, with permission, on a similar cache (GC2QVNQ) in California. I chose to do it as my "80" challenge, even though it requires 81 caches to be found.

The cache IS at the posted coordinates!

Please read the description below for logging requirements.

This Fill the Grid with a Twist Challenge may be easier for some to complete than the Washington State Well Rounded Washington Cacher (Fizzy Challenge), GC13P6B, which has location and date placed requirements. For this Fill the Grid Challenge, however, you will still be going for a complete array of caches in difficulty, terrain, and type.

D/T for this challenge are due to the difficulty and travel required to accomplish the requirements. The actual cache rating is 1.5/1.5. (You deserve a break, right?)

To Log this Challenge:

The Challenge is to completely fill the Difficulty/Terrain grid of all 81 squares, but there is a twist!! Your qualifying finds must include at least one of each of the following cache types:
  • Traditional Cache
  • Multi-cache
  • Virtual Cache
  • Letterbox Hybrid
  • Event Cache (traditional type)
  • Unknown Cache
  • Webcam Cache
  • EarthCache
  • Wildcard (Any other cache icon such as special types of Event Caches, Geocaching HQ, Project APE Caches, Locationless (Reverse) Caches, GPS Adventures Exhibit, or Wherigo Caches.)
The Twist:

In your journey to fill the grid you must include the 9 different icons listed above BUT.... they must complete a "BINGO" of sorts on the grid. Meaning that your 9 icons fill up either a column down, a row across, or a corner to corner diagonal on the grid. Below is an example of a corner to corner diagonal.

Which Row, Column or Diagonal is entirely up to you!!

The Challenge Rules and Regulations:

  1. You must have logged at least at least one cache find in each of the 81 difficulty / terrain grid locations.
  2. This cache may not be counted toward the requirements of this challenge.
  3. All finds from any date and all past and present cache types may be used to fill the grid. You may already qualify. There are no Placed Date, Location or Cache Type restrictions, other than for the twist.
  4. For “The Twist” requirement, as explained above, you must list your qualifying caches in your log in the same manner as shown in the example below.
  5. Your Difficulty / Terrain Chart must either be public in your Geocaching statistics or you must post an image of that chart with your log.
  6. Twist caches may also be from any State or Country, and have been placed at any time.
  7. You must search, find, and physically sign the log book to claim your find for this challenge.
  8. You may sign the log at any time in advance to save a return visit to the area, then log your find when the requirements have been fulfilled.
  9. Your Wild Card must be one of the wild card cache types listed above, and have the same D/T as the square for which it is being used.
  10. "Found it" logs posted without compliance with these rules will be deleted.
  11. THE ONLY RESTRICTION will the use of 5/5 cache as part of your "Bingo" If this is the case, it may not be either another challenge cache or a liars' cache.
  12. Have Fun!!

Please note that Project GC often doesn't work for this challenge. Double check your list with the requirements before logging.
