Geocache Description:

You should be at the corner of Mount Lock Road and the RM Williams Higway, there should also be a large tree.

This cache is outside one of the paddocks of the farm Manangari which is owned by my Aunt and Uncle. Manangari is a 3200 acre property farming Merino sheep for wool and share farming wheat with the neighbor. The farm is located outside the town of Jamestown and near the old town of Mannanarie. The Aboriginal name for Mannanarie is Manangari hence the farm's name. The town of Mannanarie was founded expecting that the train would come through the town. There was a change of plans and the train line went around Mannanarie rather than through it and the town slowly died away. Recently, the Mannanarie Town Hall has been restored and is being used for various functions. The town is only a 5 minute drive down the road in a Northerly direction if you would like to have a look. Also I have my other cache Manangari #2 further down Mount Lock Road (the gravel road). The cache is hidden in a piece of nature so be sure to look at your surroundings... Chrispy89 will be maintaining this cache, for any queries contact him and also me. Flag Counter
