This is one of several caches I will be placing on the Redbank Valley Trails in the Lawsonham area this Fall. All are placed with permission from the Redbank Valley Trails Assn (RVTA). Trail hours are dawn to dusk. The trail surface here won't be improved until 2014. Trail to cache is level with a short, steep climb to cache. See below for parking coords. There is food and fuel about 3 miles from here in Widnoon.
Congratulations to Muffin the Holy, KNAPAHOLIC, and Lexytay for FTF.
Goldenrod..............ahhhh, the bane of allergy sufferers........ It seems like this pretty yellow 1-7' tall wildflower is found in all types of terrain. The reason is because there are actually many different varieties and each is suited to different types of conditions such as fields or woods or dry open areas along roads or in thickets, etc. It seems like it blooms for a very long time and that is because the different varieties bloom at different times, although they all overlap in August and September.
