Geo-anomaly Response Network Mega NZ Division GRN-MeN - SECRET - EYES ONLY
OPERATION JADE
Warning - Contact has been lost with forward recon teams investigating unidentified craft landing. Extreme Caution Advised.
Wreckage of suspected non-Earth-originating craft was removed from impact location east of LZ however it was found to be "unoccupied". Radar descent tracking suggests that craft may have fragmented before impact - or that a number objects were ejected. Final transmission from forward teams suggest that two devices of unknown origin were located - both had significant damage to what appeared to be power cells and were non functional - however our field engineers were working on retrofitting these devices to run from standard battery power.
It is suspected that these devices will lead to the location of a third, larger object, also ejected from the craft, its payload unknown at this stage. Whilst the source of the craft is unknown, unusual script has been found at this location
LOCATION TWO
Once again approach from the posted coordinates UNDER COVER OF DAKNESS ONLY. The forward teams have made it easy to get from the first location to the second with more reflective markers. This section is more spread out in parts than the first so be on your guard.
At the first set of markers after the posted coordinates, the trail will deviate from the obvious path and no markers will be obvious. The last radio report informed command that it was too risky to leave an obvious trail - the sign on the rear of the post with the reflective markers will tell you the direction you need to travel - but to see the information you will need to use a standard issue ULTRA VIOLET light source
The Alien hardware will have been concealed and your mission is to attempt to activate this device and decode the information. The two decoded pieces of information will lead you to the third location.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED and CACHE IS SUITABLE FOR NIGHT TIME ONLY
- You require a 9V PP3 type battery in order to activate the alien hardware.
- A bright torch/flashlight is also required to find the trail of reflective "firetacks".
- ULTRA VIOLET Light Source is also required to direct you
From the posted coordinates, find each firetack using your flashlight (preferably held at eye level). once a firetack is found, move to the location of that firetack and search for the next one. GZ of final is indicated by ORANGE firetacks
