Once again, that last cacher thru has failed to replace the cache properly! The container has been stolen again, and I will not be wasting more money on a replacement. I don't understand the difficulty some people have with this game. Do to last winters ice causing the fortress to shift alittle, the cache was exposed and muggled. It has been replaced with a watertight Ammo Can great for little toys, trinkets, and collectibles.
This is great little clean, family friendly lake.
Being an electric motor only lake, makes it great for peaceful days wether you are Swimming, Fishing or Birdwatching. It's great for Kayaks,Canoes, and Fishing Tubes. The Lake is easily accessible within a short distance from US Hwy 95.
Anglers can enjoy the scenery, wildlife and a diverse fishing opportunity.
Whether you’re baitcasting, fly fishing or spinning your chances of getting a bite here are good. Fishermen will find a variety of fish including Smallmouth Bass, Pumpkinseed Sunfish, Yellow Perch, Largemouth Bass, Rainbow Trout and Bluegill here. So grab your favorite rod and reel, and head out to Kelso Lake.
For the Birdwatchers, you'll find Raptors, Shorebirds, Songbirds, Upland Birds, Waterbirds. From Kelso Lake all the way along Kelso Lake rd out to Clagstone, Look for Wilson’s Snipe, Northern Harrier, Mountain and Western Bluebirds, American Bittern, American Redstart, and swallows along this route.
If you are making the drive down to Clagstone, there are a few more Caches along the way, as well as an Elk farm where you can watch the Bulls and Cows wander around safe from hunters.
