Hydrodynamics in Thompson Park Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

nikcap: Went out to replace the second stage and discovered that the first stage had been completely dismantled. I couldn't find the parts anywhere. It's a little too much time and effort for me to repair/replace this one right now, so the archive button it is.
Thank you for everyone that visited and solved this one. I hope you enjoyed the cache.
Thanks for geocaching with me.

Geocache Description:

This is a field puzzle. You will need to think a little out of the box to solve this one and find the final cache. The first stage a field puzzle is a short walk from the parking. Stage two is less the .10 away. Just a little bushwhacking is involved, there are some stickers and mud around, but you should be able to avoid both if you choose you path wisely.

Thompson Park is one of the hidden gems in Central Jersey.  Miles of trails and quiet places.  The park is 675 acres and features lighted tennis and basketball courts, handball courts, baseball, softball and soccer fields.  Eight picnic groves, hiking trails, fishing in Lake Manalapan, performance gazebo, dog park and a small zoo.  One of the hidden secrets of the park is the fresh water spring found at the posted parking coordinates.  The water is cool and clean.  I've been drinking from this spring since I was a little kid and I turned out fine.  But, you can decide if you want to drink anything that comes out of the ground in New Jersey.

I've always been fascinated by the natural well at the parking lot here. It was like magic that water flowed out of the ground here. In fact, if you spread out around the woods, you'll see small springs coming out of the ground at the same elevation as the main well. The hydrodynamics here got me interested in geology as a kid and this lead to me understanding the significant of water in our lives and on our planet.

We all know that every cacher should carry a bag of geocaching tools, food and water when they hit the trails. Thompson Park has about ten miles of trails and walking paths, which means you, should drink at least two litter of water if you should decide to hiking and exploring the entire park. If you have a good bag of geo-tools you will have no problem with this cache. But, fear not, I was able to find everything I need to operate this cache correctly within walking distance of both stages.

This is a somewhat "high maintenance cache from the CO's perspective. If you enjoy it and had fun, please add to you favorite list. This will help me determine if I should keep it going as time goes on and maintenance is needed. Thanks!

The hiking trails at Thompson Park are open from Sunrise to Sunset. Please respect these hours and do not cache as night.
