Three Rivers, celebrating its centennial, is a hot, dusty and dry little town in South Texas in the middle of a huge oil boom. It's not the prettiest town in Texas but it's full of really fine folks and, in spite of it all, a nice place to live. A group of those fine folks have taken it upon themselves to set aside this little triangle of land to develop a park in honor of a long-time mayor, Mr. Jack Montgomery.
