On your way to the south you can reach the villages of Skioni and Ag.Paraskevi with it's thermal springs. You can either follow the scenic route and do the loop of the Kassandra peninsula or take a shortcut just outside Nea Skioni, cross the hills and reach Hanioti, one of the biggest villages on the east part of the peninsula.
It is said that the name 'Mola Kaliva' originates from a guardian appointed to this area by monks. The guard was named Molas, and he stayed in a small cabin (kaliva = cabin). The locals used to say 'at the cabin of Molas,' and that's how the name occurred.
Mola Kaliva has a beautiful natural landscape and is well known as a quiet place in Halkidiki, ideal for visitors looking for a peaceful stay.
The settlement is also know as a posh place in Halkidiki, due to some Greek celebrities who live there. Entertainment can be found in the nearby villages on this part of Kassandra. It will take approximately 15-20 minutes to drive there.
Unforgettable is the intense combination of crystal clear sea water and natural beauty of the area.
