As a lifelong resident of Detroit North West, I've regretted that there are few caches along Fenkell. The street in the suburbs is named Five Mile. It travels west from the John Lodge Freeway (also known as Northwestern Highway in the suburbs) through Redford, Livonia and beyond. In Detroit it is a two lane street with parking on both sides. In Livonia it becomes a boulevarded street. Along its length you will find blighted urban areas, middle class areas and areas that are being renewed.

The cache is located along this thoroughfare, with parking close to it. Msgr. John Gilmore Cook was honored for his service to the community with this site.
