Geocache Description:

A series of caches in a nice bit of countryside, lots of good views and a walk to enjoy.
The full walk is 5.19 miles, thank you Zeus.

The proposed Trent and Mersey Canal was seen as a threat by the Trustees of the Navigation, for it ran parallel to the River Weaver for some distance near Anderton.
The first known idea for the canal was in 1755, with the final plan enacted by Parliament in 1766 and the canal actually opened in 1771.

Poor satellite coverage.
The number of satellites that are "overhead" may be an issue when using a GPS in tree cover.
If you are in an area with lots of trees, then you may not get a 'signal lock' and your location may not be accurate or even displayable.

The cache is a small/medium size bison tube.
Please bring something to sign the log.

Congratulations to Stavvy for being FTF on 10th August 2013.
