Geocache Description:

A sad day ... we gathered to remember and to say goodbye to BSweet474 ... For those of us who knew Bill, it was a privilege. . As his friends, we decided to place a cache nearby ... and as a tribute to him, to place his name as FTF.

Bill Sweet born in Troy had resided in Eagle Mills most of his life and was a graduate of Troy High School and attended Siena College.

Bill  was retired from Troy Belting and Supply after 48 years in sales, a Paddock Judge at the Saratoga Harness Track and later transported cars for Action Chevrolet.

He was Brunswick Democratic Committee Chairman and a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, Taconic Valley Rod & Gun Club, Watervliet Senior Center, Brunswick Historical Society and was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church. He was an active outdoorsman, fishing, golfing, flying model airplanes and his passion, geocaching. He was an Army veteran during the Korean War stationed in Germany.

He was a man of intregrity -  if he could not make it to GZ, he would not claim the find.

He was a man of encouragement - who often wrote, "good job" in his logs.

He was someone who seemed to be able to remember all of his finds, and was willing to help anyone who asked him

He was a very kind man.
