Join North Central Ohio Cachers at a premier location (Kelly's Dairy Bar - Miniature golf and driving range ) with skill events to test your mettle against all comers.
You may compete in several events. Mini-golf will have an individual category and a 2 person team category. (2 separate games). Corn toss will be a team competition. Or... just come to relax, eat, share caching stories, trade geo-coins and path tags, or just root for your favorite competing team!
Event will start at 2:00 pm and run until all contests are completed and prizes awarded. Post your "will attend" early so that Corn-toss brackets can be created. Include the name of your team mate in the posting ... or you can pair up with another single who needs a partner. The plan is for a double elimination style tourney with "best of three" games for the championship game.
2:00 pm Sign up for a position in the cornhole brackets. Also sign up for the golf individual and/or team competition. There is a $1 (event) fee for each contest you are competing in. Corn-hole tourney will start as soon as we have 4 - 6 teams signed up.
The good food, fellowship, and competition should make for an enjoyable afternoon for all. Sign up with your "will attend" as soon as you can. You don't want to miss this one
Mini-golf rules: Each time the club head contacts the ball counts as a stroke. (No "oops, do overs, or gimme's") If the ball leaves the fairway or green there is a one stroke penalty. (eg: ball leaves play area on first stroke. Return ball to play area at point it left. Next stroke is #3.)
For the individual competition you must have at least 3 players in your group who will "certify" the score card. For team play round you need at least one other player in your group to "certify" the scores. You may submit more than one competing score card (assuming you have time to play the additional rounds and comply with the above rules).
Corn-toss rules: Alternate toss. First toss by team that last scored. Must score "exactly" 21 points to win. If a team exceeds 21 the game continues with the "over scoring" team's score adjusted back to 13. You may toss from either side of the game board, but remain behind the front edge of the board. Scoring: After 4 bags are tossed (alternately) by both teams the round is scored. A bag through the hole = 3. On the board (not touching the ground) = 1. Bag must land on the board (or go through the hole) without first touching the ground.Score for the round is the difference between the two scores. For example: in the picture below One point is awarded to the blue team. (assumes the missing bags have landed somewhere off the board).
