Geocache Description:

This is a series of paddle-boat accessible caches along the southeast shore of Blackstrap Lake.

I love combining passionate hobbies!
For me, the combination of geocaching with paddling is irresistable.
I hope you'll agree.

This is a great opportunity to sharpen your paddling and maneouvering skills or, perhaps, to teach yourself some new ones.  You'll likely see lots of wildlife as well.  While placing the caches, I saw ducks, warblers, a hawk, and a group of pelicans.

The caches are mostly inaccessible from shore, but readily accessible by light shallow-draft vessels such as canoe, kayak, paddle-board, paddle-boat, or raft.  These will mostly be inaccessible to motorized craft due to proximity to a shallow, rocky shoreline.  The caches will likely not be accessible in winter.

This series was inspired by FourTheFun's GC3XR2X Blackstrap P&G and GC4CRQ7 Blackstrap P&G #2(which are both directly across the lake) and by Geobugs5's GC3QGTR Row Your Boat at Pike Lake.

You are searching for a bison tube hanging from a live branch of a tree or shrub over-hanging the water.
It might be shining brightly.
It might be cammo'd.
It will have a shiny coil ring that you might spot.
The container contains only a RitR log scroll, so please bring a writing stick.

I had a lot of fun placing these.  May you have lots of fun finding them.

Congratulations to FourTheFun and girlsndad for FTF!
