We first started caching last year, and was instantly hooked. We soon decided we wanted to put out some of our own as well. But we could never decide on what type to do. This is our first cache and our first series as well. This series is dedicated to our favorite movie of all time. The 1987 classic love story, The Princess Bride. There are a total of 13 traditional caches in all. Each cache is themed from a different part of the movie with parts of the script on each. And as such, they are hidden in places that relate to certain aspects of the cache name. So you will be doing a little traveling around the valley for this series. Despite the descriptions of the contents of some of the caches, there is nothing dangerous or life threatening in any way. We tried to make this as close to the movie and still being fun too. All caches will be family friendly and accessible by all. We want you to enjoy this series as much as we have in putting it together. In one of the caches, we have also placed a copy of the movie as well. But unless you do the entire series, you won’t know which one it is or was lol. But if someone has already taken it before you get to it, the cache will be marked so you know where it was.
The only thing that I ask is that who so ever gets the FTF cache with the movie in it, PLEASE DO NOT MENTION IT IN YOUR POST!!!!!! But please mention it in the log book in the cache. To keep others guessing. The

8. The Princess Bride -The Pit Of Despair

Count Rugen: Beautiful isn’t it? Took me half a lifetime to invent it. I’m sure you’ve discovered my deep and abiding interest in pain. At present, I’m writing the definitive work on the subject, so I want you to be totally honest with me on how The Machine makes you feel. This being our first try, I’ll use the lowest setting.
Rugen moves a lever from zero to one. Water starts flowing, powering the machine. Westley writhes in pain. When he is finished, Rugen moves the dial back to zero.
Count Rugen: As you know, the concept of the suction pump is centuries old. Really that’s all this is, except that instead of sucking water, I’m sucking life. I’ve just sucked 1 year of your live away. I might one day go as high as 5 but.... I really don’t know what that would do to you so let’s just start with what we have. What did this do to you? Tell me. And remember, this is for posterity, so be honest. How do you feel?

the only reason i am putting a dangerous area attribute on this one, is because there is A LOT of broken glass that you have to walk passed to get to the cache location. Its in an area where people would just come and dump their trash. but the cache is beyond that so your not walking in the glass the entire time. It was really saddening to see such a site. Kinda made it a fitting place.
