Col Rodella
Der Col Rodella ist einer der schönsten Aussichtspunkte auf das Fassatal und die wohl bekanntesten Dolomitengruppen: Den Langkofel, den Sellastock, die Marmolada, Costabella, Latemar und den Rosengarten. Außerdem ist idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Klettertouren, ein Ort, an dem ein jeder seine Freizeit an der frischen Luft oder in einer der charakteristischen Schutzhütten verbringen kann.
Der Langkofel, als Korallenatoll entstanden, 3.179 m hoch, steigt aus den ihn umgebenden Wiese wie eine gotische Kathedrale gen Himmel. Er besteht aus drei Gruppen: Dem Langkofel, der zentralen Gruppe mit Cinque Dita, Grohmannspitze und dem Innerkofler und der Plattkofelgruppe, bekannt für den Schustersteig (von der Langkofelhütte steigt man auf die Spitze des Plattkofels und zurück zur Plattkofelhütte – 4 Std.).
Ausflüge: Vom Col Rodella, auf dem Friedrich August Weg n. 557, zur Schutzhütte Sandro Pertini, dem ehemaligen Staatspräsidenten Italiens gewidmet (zirka 45 Min.), um weiter die Plattkofelhütte zu erreichen (zirka 2 Std.). Von hier aus kann man in 2 Std. durch das herrliche Durontal nach Campitello absteigen oder weiter in Richtung Langkofelhütte, Aufstieg zur Demetzhütte und hinab zum Sellajoch. 2 ½ Std. Für die Umquerung des Sellastocks geht es von der Plattkofelhütte weiter Richtung Comicihütte (2 Std.), um über die Steinerne Stadt das Sellajoch oder den Col Rodella zu erreichen. Die Umquerung des Sellastocks ist eine der schönsten Wanderungen in den Dolomiten und wird in jedem Jahr von Alpinisten aus aller Welt wegen seiner landschaftlichen, geografischen und geologischen Aspekte geschätzt.

Il Col Rodella è il balcone panoramico sulla Val di Fassa. Di fronte, il Gruppo del Sassolungo, nato come atollo corallino, alto 3179 m. è la seconda cima dopo la Marmolada, della regione dolomitica occidentale. Il Sassolungo emerge come una cattedrale dall'architettura gotica. E' composto da tre cime: il gruppo centrale con le cinque Dita, la punta Grohmann e il gruppo del sasso Piatto, famoso per la ferrata Schuster.
Escursioni: dal Col Rodella, prendendo il sentiero Friedrich August n. 557, si raggiunge il Rif. Pertini, dedicato all'ex presidente della Repubblica (circa 45 min.) per poi raggiungere il Rif. Sasso Piatto (2h. circa). Da qui in 2h. si può scendere a Campitello attraverso la stupenda Val Duron oppure continuare verso il Rif. Vicenza (2h.), salire al Rif. Demetz e scendere al Passo Sella (2h½). Per il giro del Sassolungo si prosegue dal Rif. Sasso Piatto verso il Rif. Comici (2h.) poi, attraverso la suggestiva città dei sassi, si raggiunge il Passo Sella o il Col Rodella (45 min.). II giro del Sassolungo è una delle più interessanti gite nelle Dolomiti ed è percorso ogni anno da alpinisti di tutto il mondo per gli aspetti paesaggistici, geografici e geologici.

Col Rodella
The Col Rodella is one of the most beautiful views over the Val di Fassa Dolomites and the well-known groups: the Sasso Lungo, the Sella, Marmolada, Costa Bella, Latemar and Rosengarten. Also an ideal starting point for hiking and climbing, a place where everyone can spend their leisure time in the fresh air or in one of the characteristic shelters.
The Sasso Lungo, emerged as a coral atoll, 3,179 m high, rising from the meadow surrounding him like a Gothic cathedral skyward.
