This hike will meander through stands of quaking aspen, paper birch, and ponderosa pine. Part of the hike is along an old road (marked as a trail) and can be accessed during the summer months. Most of this hike is not accessable by mortorized vehichle. The caches should be easy to find. The goal of this hike is to get to the canyon rim. You will be rewarded with some spectacular views from above Roughlock Falls and above Savoy. The hike is about 7.5 miles and is an easy to moderate hike. I rated the terrain as 3.5 only because of the length. Bring plenty of water and your camera. Enjoy the area.
