Big black bison up little hill from truck turnaround and pull-off in Edgewood, NM along Route 66. No need to cross fence.
Edgewood has been known by many names: first Venus, then Mountainview, then New Barton (1908-1936) and finally Edgewood (1936 to present). Edgewood accurately describes its location, at the edge of the wooded hills where the grassy plains to the east meet the forested Sandia Mountains to the west.
