Knight’s Sink Banyan Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

johnvideo: Well, this has gone missing again. Afraid I'm going to have to archive the cache. Hope someone else places a cache nearby as it's truly a unique spot to bring the curious.

Geocache Description:

Easy to find cache meant to take you to a nice spot in Northern Pinellas County.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU COVER THE CACHE AFTER YOUR FIND, THERE ARE LOTS OF MUGGLES MOVING THROUGH THE AREA.

In a corner of Anderson Park sits Knight’s Sink Hole, and it’s close by sister, Lake Tarpon Sink Hole. They are connected by an underwater cavern over 200’ deep. Cave divers sometimes explore the depths of the cave (with permission), a good description of the dive is here: http://www.mejeme.com/dive/knight.htm

Close by is a Banyan Tree with the cache. Banyans are actually Fig Trees! More into here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banyan

Anderson Park is a public Gem, with boat access to and great views of Lake Tarpon, beautiful picnic sites and a dog park.

Enjoy!
