Layby Series
This is the sixth cache in a series of ten- ish caches, This series somewhat obviously is based around lay-bys. Having had some experiance of geocaches being placed in layby's we, Myself and T.Witsey have tried our best to stray away from those laybys that are used as toilets : ]
Though predominatly we cannot control what other people do, But we have placed all caches suitably so as the cache location does not become unplesant.
The series started out as to follow the length of the A45, But spread a little too far once we had taken the choice to follow the road on to the M1, However, This series is still mainly based on the A45, The trail leads from Birmingham - Northampton (Birmingham to Rugby is what was originally intended) But due to some of the caches being located to close to others the route does span off here and there, All of the caches are not too far between petrol stations, Shops and services, Please take advantage of these points as and when needed : ]
This trail is ideal for anyone who either lives in Birmingham or Northampton (Or anywhere nearby) and commutes either way and wants to grab a couple of caches day to day, Otherwise it is suited for anyone who is up for the journey.
This series is in memory of a very special man R J Witten, Who sadly passed Feb 2011, Unfortunatly lost due to cancer. Ron was very passionate about driving, And loved being on the roads in his wagon. One of the memorys i have of him would be driving down to London with him in the wagon, I can't remember the exact route we had taken, But this series leads you in the direction of london. Ron spent many a' nights "Kipping" in laybys, So this series is for him. Ron, You were a brilliant dad, And a loving husband, This ones for you.
NOTE: The entire series is based around roads of up to 60mph, So all Geo-Kids and Geo-WoofWoof's would be advised to stay in the car, Though the rest areas (Pit stops) can be used to strech everyones legs : ]
This cache is placed shortly after you enter northampton after taking the exit, It is once again located near to a layby, The rest is up to you...
