My first hide with the grand kids in a place I hold dear. You may be blessed on your visit with a sunset or sunrise or awesome full moon. Be quiet and early or late and you may see - otter, beaver, deer, fox, geese, turkey, ducks, heron, many birds, turtles laying eggs, and an occasional moose. This is a very busy spot year round. Look for tracks.
An Oxbow lake forms from an meandering stream and usually turns into a marsh or swamp, but this turned into a shallow lake with the stream running through. The beaver may have help in its formation. I saw two of them this morning.
