Geocache Description:

Glenheath Homestead, Barn and Underground Tank is a State Heritage Place within the Onkaparinga Council district.

Originally owned by the King family from 1846, the original homestead was built in 1850 of a mixture of limestone, loam and clay.

The homestead was rebuilt in 1895 by raising the walls and adding rooms at the front. Various outbuildings including a barn and water tank were built by Daniel Easton in about 1855. The barn is considered to be in excellent condition. The property was purchased by the Liston family in the 1890's and it remains in their ownership today.

PLEASE NOTE: No matter what your GPS says, if you move past the fence line, you will not find the cache. The owners are happy with the placement, but do want incursions onto their property to stop. It is also not near the photographed barn.

With the new fence in place you won't be able to venture on to the property, but please respect this location.
