This cache was placed to honor our son Tim, who is at field training for the USAF at Maxwell AFB, AL. He is scheduled to be commissoned in about 2 short years after he finishes his aerospace engineering degree at SDSU. He wants to fly the F-22 Raptor or UAV's for our air force and his parents are super proud of him for his desire for service. He's following his dad's footsteps thru the USAF. (Dad worked around planes, never flew them)
Like the F-22 Raptor, this cache can be stealthy. It's in plain sight, but you may not notice it. In the world of air combat, stealth can mean the end of your enemy, by the time he sees you, it's far too late. Fly-Fight-Win T-man!
This cache is placed where you don't have to leave the sidewalk. You can park right next to it, and use your car as cover. Please be discreet, and watch for muggles who frequently walk/run/ride/drive right by. The location is busy as it is the entry to our neighborhood and association. It's a nice neighborhood to live in, but people may have a sharp eye on someone(s) who just look like they're milling around. This cache only contains log, you will need a writing instrument to log. Good luck and good hunting.
Update, 5/20/2016, our son Tim graduated SDSU last weekend and was commissioned a 2nd Lt in the USAF that same day. We are all super proud of him for his accomplishments. He goes to Vanderberg AFB for missile training and then onto one of 3 bases that house our country's ICBM's. He still wants to fly Raptors, but that will wait a few years until this first assignment is complete.
