Geocache Description:

Now that we are close to finding our 2000th cache, we thought we would update this cache to honor all those cacher's who have found at least 2000 caches. The cache is a golden ammo can that seems to challenge people.

Anyone who has found at least 2000 caches may use the sharpie in the cache to sign their geocaching name on the outside of the ammo can.

Because this cache honors cachers, we ask that any trade items be cacher signature items such as pathtags, wooden nickels, or other similar type items.

Ghost pond is a recent addition to Beaver Meadows. Ghost pond is within a short driving distance past the Beaver Meadows Visitor center. The trail head is marked by a green sign on the south side of the road past the railroad tracks.

This cache has been placed with permission from Buffalo Audubon Society, contact person on site is Lauren Smith, Senior Naturalist or Mark Carra, Resident Naturalist.

Visitor Center Hours are year round Tuesday thru Saturday 10am to 5pm, Sunday 1pm to 5pm. Closed Monday and Major Holidays however the trails are always open.

WHILE SEARCHING FOR THIS CACHE PLEASE STAY ON THE TRAILS AT ALL TIMES, THE CACHES ARE LOCATED LESS THAN 50 FEET FROM THE TRAIL AND THERE IS NO NEED TO LEAVE THE TRAIL UNTIL YOU ARE NEAR THE COORDINATES. The caches are sheltered. Be sure to take the time to walk around the Ghost pond and get the other caches in the area.
