The church of St Leonard is a grade I listed building and stands on the site of an earlier 12th century church, which was demolished during the Victorian period. The present church was instigated and paid for by Mrs Mary Elizabeth Lucy, whose family resided at Charlecote Park. Mrs Lucy laid the foundation stone during April 1850.
Nicknamed the 'Holy Fridge' by Ems due to the effectiveness of it's heating system in winter.
The cache is placed outside of the church grounds and should be easy to access.
It may be worth pointing out to visitors from afar that the church is generally open but the entrance is NOT the one you can see from the road which is normally locked.
As you go through the gate from the road keep to the gravel path on the right which leads round to the hidden main entrance at the rear.
