This cache is located along a path that follows the Nicomeckl River close to downtown Langley. This river and nearby marsh areas are home to ducks, geese, trout, and salmon. The trails are great for a leisurely stroll and are a nice escape to nature within the city of Langley. This is a City of Langley Park, and is closed from Dusk till Dawn.
We have placed this cache to commemorate our very first Geocaching find. It was the original "Movie Rentals"...it was archived in April of 2013. My son and I found it back in October of 2012. He was just shy of 2 years old, and he didn't have much of an idea of what was going on, but as we found more and more caches, he has grown to like our walks to "go find it".
We have since logged many more finds together and have gotten his mom and younger brother into the game. We are approaching our 400th find as a family and decided it was time to put out a cache of our own.
The cache is located within steps of the original cache location, but the container is smaller. No bushwacking required. There are a tonne of blackberry brambles. You do not have to leave the footbridge to reach the cache. Congratulations to bluestreek and poohbear for the FTF.
Update July 18, 2013. Original cache container fell into the abyss. It has been replaced and is in a better and more secure hiding spot.
