Alex's Earth Day Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Allen Cachers: We stopped by and picked up the cache this morning. The woods were colorful and the trail was carpeted with leaves. Almost all of the seed packets we left in the cache found a home. We hope that everyone who took some seeds and planted them enjoyed their plants/flowers!

We will probably place a new similar cache with fresh seed packets somewhere else in the Spring. Until then, thanks to everyone who stopped by and found this cache!

Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Central Park South (part of the Meridian Township Parks System). Current park hours are dawn until dusk. Please respect the park hours.

Alex wanted to hide a cache this month to celebrate Earth Day, and he wanted it to be a little different. He decided to select some seed packets to put in the cache in the hopes that finders will take one and plant them in a pot or in their garden - adding a little plant life to the world. Please feel free to take one seed packet per person from the cache without any need to leave anything in exchange. We want everyone to get some seeds, even if they didn't bring anything with them to trade. [Note: We re-stocked the cache with fresh seed packets on 4/6/2014.]

The cache container is a clear plastic jar, which I believe we received at a CAGE event a long time ago. The final cache location is not far off of an unpaved trail, so please stick to the available trails until you are close to the cache.

Happy Earth Day!

Congrats to jakeres29 on being First to Find!
