Tapung Castle is located at the hill top of Lidòng Shan. The castle is built in Qing Dynasty by General Lidòng, so the name. In 1912, Japanese army rebuilt the castle to suppress the Atayal people, left only abandoned empty walls tells the stories long forgotten.
Lidòng Shan is also the No. 28 of Taiwan Top 100 Minor Peaks. The elevation of the mountain is 1913 meters. The benchmark is 1st graded.
