A bit of lost history can be found with this cache as location is part of a lost & forgotten. Look for a gate to pass through, but be respectful as you go. Cannot help but reflect on days and times gone by. Don't spook the dead! Beware of mosquitos!!!
It was hard to find any historical details on this location, but Kirby Cemetary (aka Peaceful Rest Cemtary) seems to have been established sometime around 1900. There is a forgotten section of this cemetery which was for the white workers of Kirby Lumber & their families. It seems that someone is trying to reclaim the lost portion of the burial grounds and there are "woodsmans" buried near to Daisy York (1898-1916).
