Platypus Country Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

CATONY: Some works by council in the area have changed the landscape near go a little and a cache in a nearby spot might well be worthwhile but we are not in a position to sort this out at the moment but a local cachet may be able to take the opportunity to place a cache nearby.

Geocache Description:

A small cache in a pleasant park just west of the town of Gloucester. Although there are several other caches in the area, we thought we'd place a cache to bring you to the Gloucester River where platypus have been sighted. We don't guarantee you will sight a platypus but you never know!

The cache is located within the boundaries of Gloucester District Park, there are numerous entry points to the Park, but we suggest you enter the Park via Boundary Street & follow the road within the park towards GZ & park where convenient, you should only have a short walk to the cache but don't be afraid to wander around further & grab some of the other caches nearby, or just have a stroll in a pretty part of Gloucester.
The cache itself is only big enough for a log book & a pencil & maybe a small Geocoin, the point of placing the cache is to get you to the Gloucester River for a chance at spotting an elusive & shy platypus. When replacing the cache please make sure it is covered up with a bit of native camo.
Congratulations to Kav2013 for being FTF, Well done.
