Along main track from Mt Observation, park at fence corner, stroll to rocky spur about 150m off track. Wear stout footwear and go to rocky broken granite -check plants as you go along. The granite amongst the laterite (gravel rock) has been there a long. See view off spur. Take time to be where people don't usually go - it's what that country is all about. Check out wandoo trees surviving on open gravel. In spring should be wildflowers.
